The BX822 Economy Centerlock hubs are similar to the BX106R, but feature less machining on the hub shell and three pawls on the rear hub instead of six. This makes the manufacturing time quicker and saves money. CHL bearings are also used.
The BX106 hubs are the lighter, DCR premium centerlock. These, the BX822, are the new DCR economy centerlock.
