Spokes and Nipples

Sapim only make spokes and nipples. They offer a big range products, allowing for an excellent option any wheel. In the world of spoke manufacturing, they are one of two big players; the other being DT Swiss. We have no concerns about the quality of DT Swiss spokes; there are a small number of subtle differences between them. We offer almost the entire Sapim stainless spoke range. We do not offer their more basic range. Sapim have a permanent research centre so despite being established in 1908, they are still continuing to innovate and keep up with market developments. All Sapim spokes are made in either Belgium or France. Their spokes are stamped with the word ‘Sapim’ along the spoke, near the head.

Alpina started in 1926, so are anything but a young player in the game of spoke manufacturing in Europe. Famously, for decades they made spokes for Bianchi. They also make spokes for motorycles. They have put their experience into developing new technologies and we have recently started to stock them. Their spokes are signed with an ‘A’ on the head.
