Whereas the Ultralite Aero is Alpina’s premium model, the Extralight is a slightly stiffer, thicker, alternative which is also more economical. Double butted, with round ends and a flattened middle section. It is their equivalent to the Sapim CX-Sprint. Must be held with a bladed spoke holder when building but this has the advantage of stopping all spoke twist.
